# Key NFTs

To begin farming you will need [land](#land), a [farmer](#farmers), [supplies](#supplies), and optional [compost](#compost). 

## Land

You must hold one or more of either Land Parcel 1x1 or Land Parcel 2.

  Land Parcel 1 can produce one crop per week. Use of [compost](https://pixeltycoonswax.gitbook.io/pt/pixel-tycoons-games/our-games/farming/compost) will double production.\

  You will receive one 1x1 parcel by purchasing RAM for the collection through the [sustainable program](https://pixeltycoonswax.gitbook.io/pt/pixeltycoons/sustainable-programs). Additional lands can be acquired through [primary drops](https://nfthive.io/drop/nfthivedrops/2319) and on the [secondary market](https://nfthive.io/template/239638).
* [**Land Parcel 2**](https://nfthive.io/template/278878)\
  \
  Land Parcel 2 can produce two crops per week. Use of [compost](https://pixeltycoonswax.gitbook.io/pt/pixel-tycoons-games/our-games/farming/compost) will double production. \
  \
  Land Parcel 2 is [available through a blend on NeftyBlocks](https://neftyblocks.com/c/pixeltycoons/blends/blend.nefty/24750). It requires two single land parcels and one [Land Expansion Permit](https://nfthive.io/template/666097). Land Expansion Permits cost 5 copper coins, and are available by [trading with pixeltmarket](https://pixeltycoonswax.gitbook.io/pt/alternative-mechanics/pixeltmarket).

**Whenever you buy or blend new land NFTs, use the `/sync` command to register them**.\

**If you sell land with an active order, you sell also the ownership of the crop that is growing. The player who buys your land will receive the harvest once the crop is ready**.

## Farmers

You must hold one of either the Modest or Prosperous Farmer. There is no benefit to owning multiple farmers.

  Prosperous Farmer can be obtained[ by blending ten copper coins and one Modest Farmer](https://neftyblocks.com/c/pixeltycoons/blends/blenderizerx/265123). It performs the same tasks as a Modest Farmer, but blending one entitles the owner to a [Farmer's License NTT](https://pixeltycoonswax.gitbook.io/pt/alternative-mechanics/pixeltmarket#licenses-required-to-trade-with-pixeltmarket).\
  \
  **If you buy a Prosperous Farmer on the secondary market, you will not be able to claim a Farmer's License.**

Please note, Santa Farmer cannot farm the lands. He is a holiday item only. 

## Supplies

Growing crops requires seeds and water. One single land needs one seed and one water per harvest. A double land needs two seeds and two waters per harvest.
